Rabia Farhang
Rabia Farhang has extensive executive merchandising leadership experience and deep expertise in the specialty women’s apparel and accessories market. Working for fashion retailers Caché and White House | Black Market, she built high-performing organizations and led positive business transformation to deliver significant results.
In her role as Executive Vice President of Merchandising and Design for Caché, Rabia repositioned the brand under a new vertically integrated business operation. She served as the lead architect in transitioning the business from a predominantly market-driven model to an in-house design-driven organization utilizing innovation based product lifecycles. At Cache, she also led business practice reengineering, as well as refreshed merchandising strategy.
As Vice President of Merchandising at White House | Black Market under Chico’s FAS ownership, Rabia served in an instrumental leadership role through the brand’s integration and rapid expansion phase, growing from a $90M to $400M+ business and 30-store operation to 290+ locations across the U.S. As a member of the senior leadership team, she also helped redefine the brand, set new creative and merchandising direction and developed competitive assortment and pricing strategies to establish a unique market position.
Earlier in her career Rabia served in a range of progressive roles that included store management and buying positions in better sportswear, special sizes and cosmetics at Woodward & Lothrop/John Wanamaker and Hecht’s department stores in the Washington, D.C. area.
Rabia has completed intensive leadership development programs including a High-Performance Team training series for company officers and a select high-potential executive program offered through the Center for Creative Leadership.
