(mall based, urban neighborhood, street, small box to big box, high end, home, close-out, dollar store, convenience and consumable) 15 years of extensive experience in startups, turnarounds, mergers & acquisitions, and rebuilding businesses from the ground up.

Tony most recently was brought in by Goode Partners as EVP, Chief Operating Office of Forman Mills to turnaround their recent acquisition. He led the strategy and foundational rebuild of operations, real estate, marketing, loss prevention, supply chain / DC operations, and IT operations. In less than 24 months set company to scale, implemented operational standards across all departments, replaced every system, reconfigured DC and added a new VAS facility, built and restarted the new store engine opening 6 new stores in less than 10 months. Ultimately turning the business around from -7% comp at takeover to +3% comp in 18 months.

Tony started his career with Foot Locker Inc. as a sales person and through unwavering drive for excellence and results, commitment to coaching and developing “A” Teams he was promoted rapidly up the ranks to V.P. of Operations, where he successfully managed 2,136 stores, 2.5 billion in revenue in 50 states including Puerto Rico and
Guam. Tony led the acquisition and merger of Foot Action 350 stores, $560M in revenue. Tony also served as SVP of Operation, COO for Anna’s Linens for 9 years, where he rebuilt from the ground up operations, loss prevention, real estate and new store engine opening over 100 stores. Tony was 1 of 6 executives brought in by Sycamore Partners to separate and stand up the 330 Dollar Store chain operating in 26 states 500M in revenue. This opportunity was created through the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Merger. Tony was brought in as SVP Operations for Dollar
Express, where he rebuilt from the ground up operations, operations support, real estate, construction, store development and loss prevention departments, including all strategies, SOP’s, operating foundation, KPI’s, reporting, hiring and developing the entire team. During which he led a company-wide system conversion.
